Momcozy Dinerpal High Stuhl

This review is for the Momcozy DinerPal wooden high chair.

I will say that this thing is typically going to stay in one form primarily until you bust out the screw driver to adjust it to another form (e.g. a standing tower).

All in all, as a high chair at the dinner table - it's solid. The footrest adjusts very quickly without having to take it out and reset it into a new position. Our toddler is big enough where she can't climb out of it (but she can climb out of other toddler chairs) which means we don't have to strap her in and it's one less thing to have to clean up after.

The tray is very large and capable of holding a lot of suction-based kitchenware.

I appreciate the handles are silicone wrapped inside - it's fairly heavy and to manuever it into places, it helps to have that grip.

Assembly is relatively straight forward, though you'll need to store the extra parts in case you do want to convert it to a toddler tower.

I honestly don't think it's really a chair to keep around into adulthood - it's more a chair you could technically have an adult-sized human sit in it if the normal child occupant isn't around.

I generally consider Momcozy a more mid-range brand but this chair has the style, features, and price of a high end chair.

When the box arrived, the first thing I noticed is that the chair is really heavy and sturdy. The legs are solid wood and the seat and backrest are nice laminated wood like you would expect from a European brand. The adjustability of the seat and footrest provide a lot of flexibility for different uses and table heights. I could see this would be a great option for a home that has different children visiting since you can easily switch from one position to the next fairly easily.

I also love that the chair is solid enough for an adult to sit on. It provides some options especially if you need an extra chair and don't have a lot of storage room. The flip side is that the chair doesn't fold or store so it is a bit of a tradeoff. If you want to keep the chair at the table, being able to use it for older children, teenagers or a smaller adult helps balance out the fact that it isn't going to be folded flat.

Lets face it, baby gear is just not attractive. Its usually overly embellished, has loud colors, and has an overall garish presence. Im so glad to say this highchair is NONE of those characteristics. Its a beautiful piece of furniture that blends in seamlessly with the rest of your dining room furniture. The wood is solid and sturdy, and the design makes it nearly impossible to tip over. It also stays in place, thanks to the nice rubber feet. The seat seems comfortable, though at this price range I am a bit surprised it doesnt come with a padded seat or insert. The 5-point harness is very nice though, and has neck padding as well as padding on the back. The straps are also a nice thickness, similar to what youd find on a car seat. Assembling the unit was easy enough, with clear photos and no overly complicated directions. While this might seem silly, I absolutely love that the designer created a storage spot for the Allen wrench. Theres nothing worse than going to adjust something, only to not be able to find the specific tool. I also appreciate that the Allen wrench comes in a holder, like IKEAs do, which makes it easier on the hand. I dont totally love the tray as o find it difficult to remove at times, also, it seems to dip down in the front. Im not sure if its an assembly issue on my part, so Ill play with it to see if I can get it to sit parallel to the floor. My little girl loves her new high chair and definitely feels like a big girl. I love that it will grow with her…
