BM08 is designed for babies and toddlers from 0 to 3 years old, covering the newborn stage through the toddler years.
No monthly subscription is required. Core monitoring features, sleep tracking, motion alerts, and vital-sign insights are available in the Momcozy app without a recurring fee.
The app can notify you about face-covering and roll-over risks, crying, movement, breathing or heart-rate changes, and sleep status such as light sleep, deep sleep, and wake-ups.
BM08 summarizes sleep duration, sleep patterns, and sleep segments so you can understand the night at a glance instead of repeatedly checking the live video. Daily summaries and statistics are generated the following morning.
Yes. When crying is detected, the app can send an alert. You can also use auto-play white noise and two-way talk to provide a first response without immediately entering the room.
BM08 provides 2K HD video, 940nm infrared night vision, and detailed zoom so you can check your baby clearly in both daylight and low-light conditions.
The camera requires Wi-Fi to operate and supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. When you are away from home, your phone can use mobile data to access the camera through the Momcozy app. BM08 does not operate as an offline, standalone camera.
For best results, use the floor stand beside the crib or bassinet, approximately 1 meter (3.3 feet) above your baby’s chest area. Keep the camera safely out of reach and make sure the chest area is visible.
Yes. The compact monitor has a foldable stand and flexible desk or floor setup, making it easy to move between rooms or pack for travel.
One camera is designed to track one baby. For twins, use two cameras. The app lets you switch between cameras, but it does not currently provide split-screen viewing. notifications from the other connected camera can still be delivered even when you are viewing the first camera.
Momcozy uses AES encryption for data transmission, Privacy Mode to pause monitoring when you choose, local-storage support, and primary/guest account permissions so you can control access to the monitor.
Yes. One primary account can invite up to four additional sub-accounts. Each shared caregiver uses their own invited account through the Momcozy app.
BM08 is designed to work through the Momcozy smartphone app. It does not include or support a separate physical display for this model, and the app is currently optimized for smartphones rather than iPad.
A microSD card is recommended for local recordings. You can also save recordings to your phone manually; phone saving is not automatic.

This is a very good baby monitor by Momcozy. It is for my son and daughterinlaw. They were very excited to get this for the nursery. It has an adjustable height and it leans over the crib and they can have constant monitoring of the soon to be here baby. It can easily be taken down and moved to another room and taken on trips, too. It was easy for them to set up and uses wifi to monitor the room of the baby on their cell phones. This monitor is state of the art and detects all sorts of things, like the heart rate of the baby, breathing, whether he is crying, and plays music to soothe him until the parents can get to his room. The camera has a clear picture quality and will be easy to see what baby is doing at any time. We are very happy with this baby monitor. It is well made of good quality materials and is a great value. I would recommend it
I use this camera in the bedroom of my 1 year old while he is napping and I have honestly really liked it so far. The picture quality is really clear, even at night, and I like how the camera can still frame/read his face in the dark.
I have not really gotten the breathing feature to fully work yet, but I also do not have mine mounted directly over his bed. I have it set across the room because my son is super handsy and would absolutely try to grab it if it was closer so that could definitely affect it.
Setup was really easy and the instructions were simple to follow. I connected it to my phone quickly without issues. I already had the Momcozy app because I own one of their wearable pumps, so that made setup even easier.
The lullabies are actually nice and there is a good variety to choose from. My son likes them and the two way audio is loud and clear on both ends. I can hear him well and he can hear me clearly too.
I also really like how flexible the camera angle is because you can position it pretty much however you need. it has given me a lot of peace of mind and has been really convenient to use.
Ive tried a few monitors, and the BM08 is easily the most hightech one in the nursery right now from the ones Ive used. The big selling point for me was the contactfree vitals tracking. I hated the idea of strapping a sensor to my babys foot every night, and this uses radar tech to track breathing and heart rate from a distance. It actually works, though you have to be extremely precise with the camera placement to get a consistent reading.
Some positives
Insane Video Quality The 2K resolution is crystal clear. Even at 3 AM in total darkness, I can see if her eyes are actually closed or just squinting.
No Monthly Fees speaks for itself, you dont want to be stuck with a subscription after you paid a good bit for the hardware.
Smart Alerts The AI is surprisingly good at ignoring the ceiling fan or shadows and only pinging me for actual movement or cries.
Some Cons
AppOnly There is no handheld screen. If your phone dies or your WiFi glitches, youre flying blind. If you have spotty internet, maybe evaluate one with a screen This is not super bothersome for me, but I wanted to mention it
Setup If the baby moves to a weird corner of the crib, the breathing sensor sometimes loses the signal and sends a searching notification.
Overall, this is a go for me just from the standpoint of nothing that needs to be worn by my baby, getting notifications, and no false alarms. Im happy with this!
I honestly was not expecting to be this impressed, but this product completely exceeded my expectations.
