To ensure your Momcozy breast pump always performs optimally and maintains hygiene,
regular replacement of certain accessories is essential. If you notice a decrease in suction, it's a good idea to inspect your pump's parts, especially the valves, for any signs of wear, fraying, or stretching, and replace them as needed. Beyond visual inspection, specific components have recommended replacement schedules: diaphragm and duck valves should be replaced every 3 months, while backflow linkers and flange shields should be replaced every 6 months.

For most Momcozy accessories, cross-brand compatibility is not supported. However, there is a notable exception: the Momcozy Wearable Milk Collection Cups, while compatible with Momcozy V Series pumps, can also be used with other brands of tubed breast pump main units.

It's also important to understand that even within our own product line, accessories are not always interchangeable between different Momcozy pump models.

Using incompatible accessories, whether from other brands or simply the wrong Momcozy model, can lead to various issues such as reduced suction, a potential risk of contamination, or even damage to your pump.

Proper flange size is crucial for comfortable and effective pumping. Your nipple should glide smoothly through the flange tunnel without any friction against the sides, and only a minimal amount of areola should be pulled into the tunnel. If you experience discomfort, notice your nipple turning white (blanching), or observe low milk flow, these are clear signs that your flange size is incorrect.

Momcozy offers various flange sizes and inserts to help you achieve a perfect fit for your specific pump model.

For Momcozy M5, M6, M9, S9 Pro, and S12 Pro models, a 27mm flange is available for additional purchase, alongside inserts in sizes 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm. However, it's important to note that the V series (V1 Pro and V2 Pro) does not offer an additional 27mm flange, and their insert sizes are more limited.

For the Momcozy Wearable Milk Collection Cups compatible with most electric breast pumps (including V1 Pro and V2 Pro), only 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm inserts are available, paired with a 24mm flange. The Momcozy Wearable Milk Standard Collection Cup, designed specifically for the Momcozy V Series, provides 19mm and 21mm inserts with a 24mm flange.

For optimal performance and hygiene, always disassemble all components of your electric breast pump that touch milk and wash them after each use.

1. Cleaning (After Each Use): Immediately rinse all parts that touched breast milk with cool water. Then, thoroughly wash them with hot, soapy water in a clean basin, using a small detail brush, and rinse completely under warm running water.

2. Disinfection (At Least Once Daily): Choose one method: boil parts in water for 5 minutes; or use an electric steam sterilizer or microwave steam sterilizer as per instructions.

3. Drying and Storage: Air dry all parts completely on a clean paper towel or drying rack. Once dry, store them in a clean, breathable container or resealable bag in a dry, clean place.

For quick cleanups between complete washings or when on-the-go, convenient solutions like a portable breast pump cleaner spray and natural breast pump wipes are excellent for fast maintenance.
