Bottom line: I am a labor & delivery nurse and after one of my patients used these I had to get them! These are the best colostrum collectors out there! The silicone is thicker than other brands, and the cap goes on more securely - which gives me peace of mind as I collect this liquid gold for my upcoming baby! Ive tried two other brands and they really dont compare. Yes these are a little more expensive- but so worth it! Great registry gift for a mom-to-be!Tip: Try expressing colostrum right after a hot shower. It will flow so much faster! Also- dontworry if you only get a little bit at a time. Just pop the collector into the freezer and pull it out to express into next time until you get it full. (They hold 5ml each.)Details: They come pre-sterilized in individual packages. But they can be re-sterilized by boiling for 3-5 mins so you can pass them on to a friend when you are finished with them!The plastic storage container is fine.The included tags are big enough to allow a baby sticker to be put on them when you go to the hospital, in case your birthing location requires colostrum to be stored in a separate breastmilk freezer/refridgerator.

100% would buy another for myself or as a baby shower gift for someone you knew was breastfeeding! This saved me when my youngest was born and he couldnt latch well to a bottle. I would nurse and then pump as well to assist with building my supply. If I knew he was still hungry and I didnt have enough to nurse him because I just pumped, I could squeeze out some colostrum from the catcher into his mouth and he would be more satisfied between feeds. Very easy to use and each colostrum catcher is in a sterile package, individually wrapped. Very clearly marked with the amount of mls you were filling the catcher to. Worth every penny!
