Momcozy V2 Pro at a glance
The V2 Pro is our lightest and quietest semi-wearable breast pump. The cup is just around 120 g because it does not contain the motor. Instead, the 127 g motor is clipped on your waistband or your pocket. It is connected to the cup via a tube. That’s the catch. Since that’s how it is, your movement will be limited. The V2 Pro is also not as discreet as an all-in-one wearable breast pump.
But that does not take away the V2 Pro’s effectiveness. It offers a 288 mmHg suction across 9 levels (with 3 speeds each) and three modes.
The table below gives you a quick view of its specs.

Who the V2 Pro is actually for
The Momcozy V2 Pro is for these groups of moms:
-
Moms who want breast pumps that offer strong suction but hate a heavy motor on their chest: The motor is not attached to the cup. It sits on your waistband or pocket instead.
-
All-day or exclusive pumpers who value comfort: The light cup and angled tunnel of the V2 Pro help reduce chest fatigue.
- Anyone who wants a quiet pump for around the house. The noise that the V2 makes is under 48 dB, which is a touch quieter than the V1 Pro.
- Moms who'd rather not fuss with an app. The V2 Pro is not app-controlled. It uses buttons on the motor and a built-in timer to work..
Suppose you specifically want the absolute strongest suction. If that’s so, the V1 Pro (300 mmHg) is a better option for you.
If you want an all-in-one wearable with no tubing, consider the M9 instead. It is the app-enabled, fully in-bra all-in-one option.

How to use the V2 Pro (settings, modes, and how to pump)
- Center your nipple in the flange tunnel.
- Hold the cup against your breast, and secure it with a pumping bra so it sits flush with no gap.
- Clip the motor to your waistband or pocket.
- Long-press the power button to turn it on. It starts in Massage (stimulation) mode at level 1.
- Adjust the setting according to your preference.
V2 Pro Modes
The V2 Pro has three modes. Within any one mode, you get nine levels × three speeds — 27 combinations per mode:
-
Massage (Stimulation): This mode offers short, quick pulls meant to trigger let-down. Start here at level 1 for the first minute or two of your pumping session.
-
Expression: This is the main milk mode. Use this for most of your session.
-
Mixed: This mode alternates the two patterns, ideal if you want a gentler rhythm. Many moms with sensitive nipples prefer it.
Once you know what each mode does, here's how a typical session runs on the V2 Pro:
-
Switch modes and set the level. Use the mode button to move between Massage, Expression, and Mixed. Use the +/− buttons to adjust the level and speed. There are 9 levels, with 3 speeds each.
-
Watch the LED screen. It shows the mode, level, battery, and elapsed time. The built-in timer runs while you pump, and the pump auto shuts off after 30 minutes.
-
Start low and let let-down come. There's no single "best setting." Begin on Massage at a low level and wait for let-down. Then, switch to Expression and raise the level. Find a level where you feel a firm tug without pain.
-
Don't max out the suction. Higher suction doesn't mean more milk, and it can bruise your breast tissue. Comfort beats intensity every time.

How to assemble the Momcozy V2 Pro
Each side has seven parts: the DoubleFit flange, insert, diaphragm, membrane, teardrop milk collector, tubing, and motor unit. Size your flange first with our flange size guide, then follow the illustrated steps on our user-manuals page or the V2 Pro assembly guide.
The double kit includes:
- two motors
- two 24 mm DoubleFit flanges
- 17/19/21 mm inserts
- two diaphragms, two membranes
- two sets of tubing
- one Type-C cable
- a manual.
Here are the general steps for assembly:
- Wash your hands before handling parts.
- Press the diaphragm into the flange back, flat with no gaps.
- Push the membrane onto the flange securely.
- Drop the flange into the collector (notch aligned), then press the collector onto the motor side.
- Slide your insert (17/19/21 mm) into the 24 mm flange, centering your nipple.
- Connect the tubing to the motor and cup port. Seat the charging cover, or it may whistle.
Dry every part fully before assembly. A damp seal is the top cause of weak suction, and moisture in the motor is not something we can undo.
How to charge the V2 Pro
A full charge covers roughly eight sessions, so most moms top up every couple of days rather than nightly. A full charge takes about 2 hours with the included Type-C cable.
- The battery indicator on the screen shows charge level. It charges while plugged in.
- You cannot pump while it's plugged in. Always disconnect the charger and close the charging cap before a session.
- If it won't turn on after a long charge, try a different cable and a standard adapter. Also, clean the charging port with a dry cotton swab.
- Fully charge the V2 Pro every three months even when you’re not using it. Doing so helps protect the battery.
How to clean and sterilize the V2 Pro
Hand-wash after every use and disinfect daily if your baby is newborn or preterm. Please note that the V2 Pro is not dishwasher safe. A dishwasher can warp the silicone. Follow these steps to clean and sterilize it properly:
-
Disassemble first: detach the tubing from the motor and cup, lift the flange from the collector, then remove the membrane and diaphragm. Keep the motor and tubing dry.
-
Rinse the collector, flange, insert, diaphragm, and membrane under warm or cool running water to clear milk.
-
Wash in a basin of warm (40–60°C) soapy water for 3–5 minutes with a brush kept just for pump parts. Do not do it directly in the kitchen sink.
-
Disinfect by boiling for 5–10 minutes or using one microwave steam bag per day. Skip UV sterilizers,as their heat warps silicone and is a fire risk.Always keep the motor, tubing, and cable away from any sterilizer.
-
Motor and tubing: wipe the motor outside with a damp cloth or a 70% alcohol wipe. Swab the tubing interior with a clean, damp cloth. Never submerge either.
For when to swap membranes and diaphragms, see our guide to cleaning and replacing pump parts.
How to empty and pour from the V2 Pro
To empty and pour without a spill:
- When the cup nears the fill line, power off first to release the vacuum. Then, lift the motor and tubing off the collector.
- Tip the collector slowly into a bottle or storage bag while keeping it upright. The V2 Pro collector has a pour spout.
- Don't shake or tip past horizontal, or milk can reach the motor port. For spill-free pumping, most moms empty around the 5–6 oz mark (the cup holds 7.8 oz / 230 ml), especially while moving around.
- Pour into your own storage bottles or bags rather than screwing a standard bottle straight on. Follow the CDC's milk storage guidance for what to do next.
V2 Pro vs V1 Pro and fully wearable pumps: which should you pick?
All three are current Momcozy pumps, but they sit at different points on the wearable scale. The V2 Pro and V1 Pro are tubed semi-wearables — cup in your bra, motor in your pocket — while the M9 is a fully in-bra all-in-one with app control. Below is the spec sheet, then the two comparisons one at a time.

V2 Pro vs V1 Pro — the closest match
The V2 Pro and V1 Pro sit closer together than any other pair in our lineup, so this head-to-head is the one shoppers weigh most. Both are tubed semi-wearables you drive from on-unit buttons (no app on either), both hold a 230 ml cup, and both list at $199.99 for a double kit. The differences are about feel and weight, not category:
-
Weight: this is the headline. The V2 Pro's motor is just 127 g — our lightest — against the V1 Pro's 240 g. If a light pocket motor matters day to day, the V2 Pro wins.
-
Suction: the V2 Pro pulls 288 mmHg to the V1 Pro's 300 mmHg. A small gap, but the V1 Pro is the stronger of the two.
-
Battery: the V2 Pro runs ~8 sessions per charge against the V1 Pro's ~9. Both last long, but the V1 Pro lasts a touch longer.
-
Noise: the V2 Pro is rated under 48 dB, while the V1 Pro hums at around 48 dB.That said, the V2 Pro is slightly quieter.
-
Timer: both have a built-in timer, and the V1 Pro remembers your last setting.
Pick the V2 Pro if you want the lightest motor and a quiet, comfortable all-day pump, and you're fine with tubing. Step up to the V1 Pro if you want the strongest suction (300 mmHg) and the longest battery. For the deeper dive, our V1 Pro vs V2 Pro guide lays it all out.
V2 Pro vs fully wearable pumps (M9 and friends)
The M9 is a different shape of pump: a fully in-bra all-in-one with zero tubing and app control. It matches the V2 Pro on price-tier ambition but flips the trade-off. You gain tube-free freedom and lose runtime and cup size.
-
Form: the V2 Pro is tubed (motor in your pocket), while the M9 is fully in-bra with no tubing. If "no tubes" is the priority, the M9 is the pick.
-
In-bra load: the V2 Pro's in-bra cup is light because the motor rides in your pocket. The M9 carries its full 302 g on the breast. The V2 Pro is easier on the bra.
-
Suction: the M9 pulls 300 mmHg to the V2 Pro's 288 mmHg.The M9 is a touch stronger.
-
Cup size: the V2 Pro holds 230 ml, while the M9 holds 150 ml. The V2 Pro has the larger cup.
-
Battery: the V2 Pro runs ~8 sessions, and the M9 runs ~5. The tubed design buys a longer runtime.
-
App: the M9 connects to the app for tracking and remote control. The V2 Pro has no app connectivity. If you want an app, the M9 is the better choice.
-
Noise: the V2 Pro is under 48 dB; the M9 runs at ≤42 dB. The M9 is the quieter of the two.
-
Price: the V2 Pro is $199.99; the M9 is $269.99.
Choose the M9 if you want the same 300 mmHg with zero tubing, app control, and the quietest motor we make, and you don't mind the higher price and shorter battery.
Keep the V2 Pro if a light pocket motor, a bigger cup, longer runtime, a built-in timer, and a lower price matter more than going tube-free.
If you want fully in-bra without an app, the M6 is the app-free all-in-one and the M5 Smart adds app control. Both are covered in our full breast pump comparison.

Does the V2 Pro leak, and how do I stop it?
The V2 Pro's DoubleFit flange and redesigned cup seal well for most owners. Many report zero leaks, even when bending over. If leaks occur, they are usually caused by common issues such as:
-
A loose flange seal: the flange has to press flush into the collector all the way around. Run your thumb firmly around the whole rim as you assemble.
-
A worn or misseated membrane: a pinched, stretched, or torn membrane backs milk up and leaks. Re-seat it, and replace it if it's stretched or cloudy.
-
Overfilling: past about 5–6 oz, the milk reaches the pour spout. Keep the cup under that line, especially while moving.
-
Bending or tilting: a sharp bend or leaning past about 45° lets milk escape. Sit or stand upright while pumping, and lean slightly forward only when you remove the pump.
If you've ruled out all four and it still leaks, reach out to our support team.
How to reset the V2 Pro
There's no dedicated reset button on the V2 Pro. If it won't power on at all, charge it for 15 to 20 minutes first (a fully flat battery can look dead), then long-press the power button. Also try a different cable with a standard adapter.
If it freezes or acts up, hold the power button until it switches off, and wait about 10–15 seconds before turning it back on. That power cycle clears most glitches.
- Re-seat the membrane, diaphragm, and tubing and try again first. Most "no suction" cases we see are a wet or loose seal or a kinked tube, not a dead pump.
- If it still won't respond after a cycle, or the motor sounds off, stop using it and reach out to our support team.
- If a motor genuinely fails, it's covered by warranty. Contact support with your receipt.
So, is the V2 Pro a good pump?
Honest answer: for the right mom, yes, and it's the most comfortable Pro we make. What owners mention most include:
- the light 127 g motor
- the quiet hum under 48 dB
- the output that keeps pace with a wall pump
- At $199.99 for a double kit it's FSA/HSA eligible
- The built-in timer makes daily use genuinely easier.
The fair caveats:
- it's a tubed design, so you're tethered to a motor in your pocket.
- It's less discreet than an all-in-one wearable breast pump. The teardrop cups are slimmer than many, but under a tight top they still show, and some moms wouldn't use them in public.
- At 288 mmHg the suction is very strong but the V1 Pro and M6/M9 at 300 mmHg edge it.
- There's no flange larger than 24 mm, which can be a limit for larger nipples, and a small share of owners report the charging-port cover whistling if it's not seated.
- Independent reviewers also note Momcozy pumps in general have a shorter flange tunnel, which can be tricky for elastic nipples. If you want the critical take, New Little Life's 2025 Momcozy breakdown is worth reading. For most users, careful flange sizing and starting with lower suction settings are the best ways to reduce discomfort and improve fit.
Momcozy V2 Pro: the questions moms actually ask
Beyond the how-to steps above, these are the questions we see most from V2 Pro owners in our support inbox, on Reddit and Mumsnet, and in verified Amazon reviews. If yours isn't here, the user-manuals page has the full reference.
Does the V2 Pro have an app?
No. The V2 Pro runs entirely from its motor buttons — no Bluetooth, no app. You get all three modes and nine levels from the buttons, the LED shows your setting. For many moms that's a feature and not a gap. It means no pairing and no updates are needed. You also don’t have to fish your phone out from under your shirt.
If app tracking is the reason you're shopping, the M9 is the app-enabled option; the M5 Smart is the other.
Is the V2 Pro hospital grade?
The V2 Pro uses a hospital-grade motor and pulls 288 mmHg, which is strong enough that many owners match their wall-pump output.
Our hospital-grade explainer notes the FDA classes breast pumps as medical devices but doesn't formally define "hospital grade." In practice it means a high-suction, heavy-use unit, and the V2 Pro is built to that standard for home use.
It's a strong pick for daily and exclusive pumping, but it’s a single-user device. Don't share your V2 Pro with other moms. Like every Momcozy pump, it has a shorter flange tunnel than a traditional pump. For some moms, especially those with elastic nipples, this means the correct flange size and proper positioning are more important for comfort and effective milk removal. There's also no flange larger than the included 24 mm, which can limit larger nipples.
Does the V2 Pro decrease milk supply?
No pump lowers your supply by itself. Supply follows how often and how fully you empty.
The V2 Pro's honest caveats include a shorter flange tunnel than a wall pump and no flange larger than 24 mm. These can leave some moms a little less emptied, which nudges output down. That's a fit-and-technique issue, and does not mean the V2 pro is a bad pump.
The fix is the same for everyone: size your flange with our flange size guide, start low, use hands-on massage, and empty on a steady schedule. If output still won't climb, bring in a lactation consultant before writing the pump off.

Is the V2 Pro FSA/HSA eligible?
Yes. Like most Momcozy pumps, the V2 Pro is FSA/HSA eligible because a breast pump counts as a covered medical expense in the US. Use your benefits card at checkout, or save the receipt for reimbursement. Ask your benefits administrator what documents to keep, since plans differ.
Why is my V2 Pro losing suction or barely pumping anything?
This is the #1 thing owners search for, and most of the time it isn't a faulty pump — it's the seal, a worn part, or the tubing that causes this. Check these in order:
1. Membrane. Push it fully onto the flange, making sure it is securely attached and not pinched or torn. A stretched or torn membrane is a top cause of weak suction.
2. Diaphragm. Seat it evenly in the flange back with no gaps. A warped or misseated one leaks air and drops suction.
3. Flange. Press it flush into the collector all the way around. A gap lets air in and kills the seal.
4. Tubing. Push it firmly onto both the motor and the cup port. A loose or kinked tube is the single most common cause on a tubed pump like the V2 Pro.
Also make sure that every part is bone-dry before you assemble the pump.A wet seal is the other big suction-killer.
To test the motor itself, take it off, cover the suction port with your thumb at level 1 and level 9, and feel the difference. If you have two motors, swap them side to side to see if the problem follows the motor or the parts.
If it's been a month or more, worn membranes and diaphragms are usually to blame. It’s best to replace them.
If the motor truly dies, reach our support team with your receipt. It's covered by warranty.
Why is the V2 Pro bulky / not discreet under my bra?
The teardrop cups are slimmer than a lot of wearables, and many moms say they're fine under a loose top or hoodie. But under a tight or thin shirt, they do show, and some reviewers wouldn't wear them at work or in public.
The motor itself is tiny and clips to your waistband or pocket, so the bulk is the in-bra cup, not the motor. If total discretion is the priority, an all-in-one like the M9 hides better.
Can I use the V2 Pro while it's charging?
No. For your safety, the V2 Pro will not run while plugged in. Disconnect the charger and close the charging cap before each session. The good news is that you rarely need to disconnect the charger to use it. A single charge covers about eight sessions, and a full top-up takes roughly 2 hours.
The battery only lasts a few hours / fewer than 8 sessions — is it defective?
A full charge is about 240 minutes, which Momcozy rates at up to 8 sessions, but that's total run time and it drops with higher suction levels. If you pump at high levels for 30 minutes each, you'll get fewer sessions than the rating suggests.
If it dies within a session, won't hold a charge for even a couple of sessions, or the runtime has dropped sharply from when it was new, that's not normal. Contact support, because a failing battery is covered under warranty.
Does the V2 Pro have a timer?
Yes. The V2 Pro has a built-in timer on the LED screen
The pump also auto shuts off after 30 minutes, and a typical session runs 15–20 minutes. Don't keep pumping past 5 minutes with no output; try again later instead.
Is the V2 Pro dishwasher safe?
No. We've seen owners say they run the parts in the dishwasher, but that's against our guidance. The safety of a dishwasher for these parts hasn't been verified and the heat can warp the silicone. Wash by hand in warm (40–60°C) soapy water, then boil or steam-bag to disinfect instead. Ensure that the motor and tubing never go in the water.
The assembly is fiddly / the port cover whistles / the tubing kinks
The click-in assembly takes a try or two — follow the V2 Pro assembly guide with photos.
Make sure the motor's charging-port cover is seated flush, or it can whistle while running. Also, check the tubing isn't pinched or twisted between the motor and the cup, with both ends pushed on firmly. A loose tubing connection is the top reason suction drops.
Can the V2 Pro be my only pump or replace my wall pump?
For a lot of moms, yes. At 288 mmHg many owners report output within 10–15% of their plug-in wall pump over a 20-minute session. That’s close enough to use it as a primary breast pump. If you're exclusively pumping, building a shaky supply, or have elastic nipples, you may still get more complete emptying from a traditional pump. Keep one in the rotation and size your flange carefully with our flange size guide.
That said, the V2 Pro is a great everyday wearable, though it won’t replace a wall pump for every mom.
My V2 Pro leaks — how do I stop it?
The V2 Pro's DoubleFit flange seals well for most owners (many report zero leaks, even when bending over). But when leaks happen they trace to the usual four: the flange isn't pressed flush into the collector; the membrane is pinched or worn; you filled past the ~5–6 oz line; or you leaned past about 45°.
Keep the cup under the line, stay upright while pumping, lean slightly forward only when you take the pump off, and run your thumb firmly around the flange rim as you assemble. If you've ruled all four out, reach out to support.
Can I pump lying down or while sleeping with the V2 Pro?
No. The V2 Pro is a tubed pump. The motor sits in your pocket and the cup connects by tubing. With that said,it's not designed for lying flat. Reclining sharply can let milk back up toward the motor port and damage the unit. Pump sitting or standing upright. If you need to rest, pause and sit up to finish.
Is there a flange larger than 24 mm for the V2 Pro?
Not yet. The V2 Pro ships with a 24 mm DoubleFit flange plus 17/19/21 mm inserts, and there's no larger flange available right now. If your measured size is above 24 mm, the included flange may not fit well. Check our flange size guide, and if you're over 24 mm, you may need a different model or a larger aftermarket option. This is a real limit for some moms, so size yourself before you buy.
How quiet is the V2 Pro really?
Under 48 dB (around 45 dB in independent testing). It emits a soft hum, a touch quieter than the V1 Pro at ~48 dB. It's discreet for TV, driving, or around the house. Under a loose top, the sound is barely noticeable; in a quiet open office, it can be heard.
Bottom line
The Momcozy V2 Pro is the semi-wearable to reach for when comfort and weight lead your list.It features the lightest motor we make at 127 g, a quiet hum under 48 dB, 288 mmHg strong suction, and a built-in timer, all for $199.99 and FSA/HSA eligible.
Assemble it by seating the diaphragm, membrane, and tubing (watch the port cover so it doesn't whistle), charge it about 2 hours for a full run, wash it by hand (never the dishwasher, never the UV sterilizer), and know going in that it's a tubed design, meaning you’ll be tethered. If you want the strongest suction instead, step up to the V1 Pro. If you want the same strength with zero tubing and an app, check the M9.
