FAQs
What are FSA and HSA?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are tax-advantaged accounts that let you set aside pre-tax money to pay for eligible healthcare expenses. By using these funds for Momcozy essentials, you effectively save up to 30-40% by reducing your taxable income.
Can I use my FSA/HSA debit card directly on Momcozy.com?
Yes! You can use your FSA/HSA debit card just like a standard credit card at checkout.
• If you are purchasing items that require an LMN (like maternity pillows or belly bands), the card will still work, but you may be required to submit your LMN documentation to your provider afterward to verify the purchase.
• If your card is declined, it is usually due to stricter online merchant restrictions set by your card provider. In this case, simply pay with a regular credit/debit card and submit your itemized receipt (along with your LMN, if applicable) to your provider for a full reimbursement.
What should I do if my FSA/HSA card is declined at checkout?
If your card is declined, it is usually due to strict restrictions placed by your specific HSA/FSA card issuer on online retail platforms. You can still purchase your eligible Momcozy products using the following simple steps:
1. Complete your order using a regular personal credit card, debit card, or PayPal.
2. Check your inbox for our Order Confirmation email, which serves as an official, itemized receipt containing all the necessary medical product details and tax information required by benefits administrators.
3. Submit this receipt directly to your FSA/HSA provider's online portal or app to claim a 100% reimbursement back to your personal account.
What if my order contains both eligible and non-eligible items?
For the smoothest experience, we recommend placing a separate order for your FSA/HSA eligible items. If you combine them, your FSA/HSA card may only cover the eligible portion, or you may need to pay with a personal card and request a partial reimbursement from your provider later.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription to buy Momcozy products?
It depends on the product category.
• Directly Eligible Items: For products like breast pumps, pumping accessories, and sterilizers, no prescription or documentation is needed. Under the CARES Act, these are classified as eligible over-the-counter (OTC) medical expenses.
• LMN-Required Items: For maternity support and recovery products (such as pregnancy pillows, postpartum belly bands, compression socks, and birthing balls), you do not need a traditional prescription to purchase them. However, your benefits provider will likely require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your doctor to approve the FSA/HSA reimbursement.
How do I get an itemized receipt for my insurance claim?
It’s simple! Your Momcozy Order Confirmation Email serves as a valid itemized receipt for your claim. To ensure a smooth reimbursement, just follow these steps:
1. Check Your Inbox: Once your order is placed, you will receive an automated order confirmation email containing all required details: merchant name, purchase date, item description, and amount paid.
2. Download the PDF: For your convenience, a direct link to download your official PDF invoice is included at the bottom of that same email.
3. Submit Your Claim: Simply upload this PDF or a screenshot of your email to your FSA/HSA provider’s portal or mobile app for quick processing.
When is the deadline to use my FSA funds?
Most FSA plans follow a "use it or lose it" rule, meaning funds must be spent by December 31st each year. Some plans offer a grace perioduntil March 15th. We highly recommend checking with your plan administrator so you don't lose your hard-earned savings!
(HSA funds do not expire)
How do returns work with FSA/HSA purchases?
Per IRS regulations, refunds for items purchased with FSA/HSA funds must be issued back to the original payment method. We cannot issue refunds via cash, check, or to a different bank card.
FSA/HSA Savings Disclaimer:
Estimated savings of 30-40% are based on the use of pre-tax dollars and vary by individual tax situations. Momcozy provides eligibility information as a guide, but we recommend confirming with your benefits provider or tax advisor for final approval. FSA/HSA eligibility for specific products is subject to change based on IRS regulations and your specific plan’s rules.
